Matyó doll couple ´Józsi and Juli´ (textile)

The traditional Matyó tracht is considered as singular in the world. The only refuge for the out of poor families coming Matyós were the even more colored clothes. They spent all their money on it, therefore they called it 'shining misery '. The small Matyó dolls set a monument for the contemporary wearing, especially for the beautiful young woman with head decoration and the bridegroom's shirt pattern. The small dolls were made with a head from textile.
